Jake grew up in South Boston, Massachusetts, where the close-knit community and raw authenticity of life in public housing shaped his perspective and storytelling voice. Having spent much of his life living or working within those brick walls, Jake developed a deep appreciation for the resilience, humor, and humanity found in everyday people and places often overlooked.
A passionate traveler, Jake seeks out the stories hidden in the corners of America — from backroads and small towns to bustling cities and national parks. His journeys are not just about the miles traveled but about the connections made along the way and the insight gained from stepping beyond the familiar. When he’s not on the road, Jake finds peace in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, where he reflects and plans his next adventure.
He is also the author of One Nation Inside the Bricks, a powerful exploration of life, community, and identity within America’s public housing system. Through his writing, Jake continues to capture the spirit of exploration — both outward across landscapes and inward through the human experience.
